In line with county and England Golf rules we will be removing "Preferred Lies" on the course effective 1st of May 2022.

The period in which Preferred Lies is permissible at a Club’s discretion expires on 30th April 2022.

Beyond this date Sussex County Golf will need to approve any extension to the use of "Preferred Lies" for rounds played where it is intended that the score will be an acceptable score for handicap purposes. The county are aiming for a consistent approach to the extension of Preferred Lies and we now require an inspection from the county if we wish to extend.

The Greens Team, Greens Directors, Mike and myself agree the fairways are progressing well and no longer require preferred lies and that an inspector would agree. We have therefore agreed to remove preferred lies on the 1st of May 2022.
